On a bright sunny day in Paris, Ketch and I headed 5 stories underground to see the remains of 6 million long-dead Parisians.
We ventured down the narrow spiraling stairs and slowly made our way through the dark damp tunnels filled with bones. The bones were stacked neatly, with plaques indicating which cemetery they had been exhumed from. There were some decorative elements, humbling quotes about mortality, etc. It was absolutely creepy and totally awesome and made me so excited to see more ossuaries in Italy and Prague.
