Portofino in Pictures

Portofino is just a few towns over from Rapallo, where my family lives. It's marina, waterfront bars & restaurants, and luxe stores such as Gucci & Hermes make it a serious tourist attraction. However, it's still incredibly beautiful, nestled between two mountain peaks that meet the clear blue waters below. We hiked up the mountainside and enjoyed brain-numbing views of the mountains, the water, the lush trees, flowers, and greenery. Even when tourist-y and fancy, Italy is always filled with things that are ancient, alive, and beautiful.
